At YSG Tailors we like to stay organised. For wedding suits we prefer to catch up for a 1st introduction/consultation fitting 6-9 months out from the big day. We then stagger your suit fittings accordingly, leading up to the wedding date. Whilst high preference on delivering all your goods 4-5 weeks before the day. Albeit, we can work within much tighter time frames but above is preferable.
There’s a total of 3 suit fittings not including your 1st discovery meeting or “meet and greet” – After you have had your first fitting, your second fitting is coordinated based on your wedding date usually at the halfway point from your initial measure up. We then schedule your 3rd and final fitting 4-5 weeks prior to the wedding day. This allows us to accommodate for any variations in size.
Yes, This is far more common than what most people realise. We have a measurement form to send to the absent groomsmen, along with work instructions that we request to be filled out and sent back to us to start the ball rolling.
We have a detailed selection of fabrics for you to choose from with over 500 different variations. the quality ranges from super 100 to super 150
Our pricing starts at $999 for a 2 piece, pure merino wool suit but may be more depending on the quality of the fabric you choose.
We don’t charge for customisations. Our pricing is set by quality which allows each individual to enjoy the full customisation process. (Custom designed lining at the clients choosing is $300.00)
We give you full control over the design and look of your suit from single double breast, lapel style types and sizes, a book of linings to pick from (custom & personalised linings come at an additional cost), number of buttons, type of buttons, buttonhole thread colours, vents, pockets styles, waistband types and thicknesses, belt loops or side adjusters.
We are an appointment based business giving our clients the time for each suit to be fitted up perfectly. Walk-ins are welcome to the showroom but cannot guarantee they will be assisted depending on our team's schedule with already booked appointments.
For wedding clients we encourage to chat to all of your groomsmen and help ensure they are all available for when we catch up together. It helps to chat prior to coming so that if we find a fabric you love and you decide to start the measuring process, we will take payment in full (It’s good to word the boys up if they’re paying for themselves or splitting the payment). It’s also great to do some research on your preferred look prior to the appointment. Take note of other suits or styling you’ve seen and bring them with you. After we finish our fitting we immediately prebook in with everyone for the next appointment.
Yes we do. We offer appointment times 7 days a week with afternoon appointments from Wednesday to Friday afternoon. Friday evenings are the most sought after, so if this is your preference then we suggest you book well in advance.
We encourage all couples to come in for an initial chat to one of our team members. We will block out 45 mins to 1 hour and discuss all things suits. If you're happy we will look at getting yourself and any of your groomsmen back for a measure up and custom styling selection.
Yes we offer vouchers for any price limit required.
We take payment in full before ordering anything. Eftpos is our preferred method of payment but we also accept cash and bank transfers.
